Ingredients to make Frozen Yogurt Bark
- Yogurt, I’ve used unsweetened plain Greek yogurt for its thick and creamy texture and it's also high in protein. You can of course use regular yogurt, flavored yogurt such as fruit yogurt or vanilla yogurt. To make it dairy-free or vegan, a great option is also coconut yogurt
- Honey is a great natural sweetener, especially if you are using unsweetened yogurt like I have. For a vegan option, use agave nectar or maple syrup
- Fruits you can really use any fruit thats in season. Today I’ve used peaches but I also love using mixed berries such as strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, mango, kiwi fruit and even bananas. There aren't any rules!
- Toppings are really endless! I love adding chopped nuts such as almonds, walnuts, pecans, peanuts and pistachios. I also love adding a sprinkle of granola, peanut butter, shredded coconut or coconut flakes, chia seeds, dark chocolate chips
How to make Frozen Yogurt Bark
You can make this healthy frozen treat in no time at all. Here are my simple steps below.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper and add Greek yogurt
- Use the back of a spoon to spread out the yogurt evenly on the sheet pan
- Add desired toppings, pressing them gently into the yogurt. Freeze bark for at least 3 hours
- Once frozen, break the bark into bite-sized pieces and serve immediately
Tips and Tricks
- Ensure you smooth out the yogurt into an even layer. This will allow it to freeze evenly
- Distribute toppings evenly so every bite gets a little of all the toppings you have added
- To prevent the toppings from falling off, slightly press them into the yogurt before freezing
- Allow the yoghurt bark to defrost for a few minutes before eating. It will be yummier and easier to eat
