These Tiramisu Truffles taste just like the classic tiramisu but made into little bite-sized treats! They have a soft creamy texture and are crazy easy to make in 15 minutes
⅓cupmascarpone cheese - preferably at room temperature
12 (3.5oz / 100g)savoiardi biscuits - ladyfingers
3tablespoons brewed espresso coffee
3teaspoonssifted powdered sugar
Cacao powder for dusting
Instructions
Brew espresso coffee and allow it to cool
In the meantime, blitz the savoiardi biscuits in a blender or food processor to a powder consistency
In a bowl, add the mascarpone cheese and sugar. Add the cooled espresso and mix together to create the cream mixture
Add the crushed lady fingers to the bowl, and using a rubber spatula stir together until combined well. It will be a thick batter like consistency, similar to cookie dough
Spoon a teaspoon of the mixture to your fingers and roll into a ball. Place on a plate and continue with the remaining mixture - you should have 10 balls
Place the truffle balls in the fridge to set for 1 hour. They will have a soft texture on the inside, but if you prefer them to be firmer set for longer
Add the cacao powder to a small bowl and drop in the balls one at a time to coat them in the powder. Serve up your delicious Tiramisu Truffles and enjoy!
