This Greek Yogurt Sauce is a staple I make all the time, it takes literally minutes to make and tastes great with everything! Think of it like a lazy tzatziki that can be used as a dip or even drizzled
5.5oz / 150gplain Greek yogurt - I've used non fat
1teaspoonextra virgin olive oil
1teaspoondried dill weed or mint
¼medium lemon - juiced
1small garlic clove *optional
Salt and black pepper to taste
Garnish with dried or fresh herbs
Instructions
In a small bowl, add the yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, dried herbs and a good pinch of salt and optionally pepper. If adding the garlic, grate finely using a microplane grater
Mix well with a spoon, then add 1 teaspoon of cold water and stir through. Check the consistency, and if needed add more water 1 teaspoon at a time until you have your desired consistency Serve your delicious Greek Yogurt sauce on the side of any dish such as zucchini fritters, pita chips or chickpea fritters, and many more!
