This Avocado Hummus dip is creamy, healthy and makes for the perfect snack to serve with vegetable sticks, pita chips or in a sandwich.

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 cups cooked or canned chickpeas
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoon tahini
  • 4 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • large lemon
  • 2 ice cubes
  • Splash of ice cold water
  • Sea salt to taste


  • Red chili flakes
  • Extra virgin olive oil


  • Add cooked chickpeas, garlic, tahini, extra virgin olive oil, salt, lemon juice and the peeled and pitted avocado to a food processor / blender.
  • Blend until a purée is formed. If the mixture is too thick, add the ice cubes and a splash of ice-cold water and blend again. This will help it get nice and smooth.
  • Serve in a bowl and with a spoon create a well or dipped design on the top. Garnish with red chili flakes and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
  • Serve with some veggie sticks or pita chips and enjoy this tasty avocado hummus dip!
